The School has offered high-quality management education for over 55 years and is renowned for its prestigious MBA programme. With nine international centres, it is internationally respected as one of the most innovative business schools in Europe.
Strathclyde Business School has one of the largest academic faculties in Europe and holds three major quality accreditation awards – EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA. Triple-accreditation places Strathclyde Business School within an exclusive group of just over 1% of global business schools.
The Strathclyde MBA
The programme has been designed for ambitious, talented and well-qualified individuals with solid business experience. As well as compulsory modules, students can choose from a number of in-depth electives and the programme is completed with a student-specified project, which usually deals with real, company-specific issues. This allows students to tailor their MBA to suit their career aspirations.
Strategic analysis and thinking are central to the programme and run throughout the different modules. The teamwork approach fostered at Strathclyde is an important aspect of the course and ensures that the extensive range of people from different countries, backgrounds and cultures brought together to learn, also learn from each other as part of a truly global networking experience.
Strathclyde recruits from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, including all the major industrial sectors and management functions. Traditionally our intake comes from a global range of countries (17 nationalities in 2011), ensuring an international experience. Our intention is to create a pool of managerial and specialist experience from which to draw, to the benefit of all participants and their future employers. We ask for a minimum of three years full-time work experience (5-7 years is the norm), so our course members represent a huge wealth of management experience. By the time they complete the programme, they will have been given every opportunity to develop as managers, through the application of concepts and theory to practical work situations.
