Under the motto ‘for and by business’, Nyenrode Business Universiteit was founded in 1946 as a private university on the initiative of leading corporations such as KLM, Shell, Unilever, Philips and Akzo, who in the post-war era were looking to rapidly restore the Netherlands’ competitive position. We are now one of the oldest and leading business universities in Europe. Our mission is to improve the quality of business and management by delivering innovative, entrepreneurial people and ideas into the global business community. In the current day and age, business needs people with an academic basis and entrepreneurial spirit more than ever before. They need managers who combine lucid corporate-economic considerations with social skills and a personal touch. This is Nyenrode’s speciality.
Nyenrode offers degree and executive programs in business, accounting and controlling. Degree programs are offered both fulltime and part-time; executive programs are offered as open programs, specialized master classes and in-company programs. Nyenrode’s core degree programs are the International MBA program, and the Master of Science in Management program.
We are 20 minutes from Amsterdam, one of Europe's social, cultural, and financial hubs. In the Netherlands, you are at the financial heart of Europe. Home to commercial giants like Unilever, Philips, ABN AMRO and ING, the country is the number one destination for foreign investment, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit.
